David Cook

David is a native Tennessean and grew up in Nashville with one older brother and one younger sister. David has a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from MTSU with an emphasis in botany and a Masters Degree from TSU in plant science.  When time permits, he enjoys horseback riding with his wife Sharon, backing and camping, fly fishing, kayaking, and of course, gardening. He is recently retired as an Extension Agent, with the University of Tennessee. His work involved educating homeowners and commercial clients about issues concerning horticulture and agriculture. He taught training classes for pesticide applicators seeking commercial certification and licensing, and training classes for Master Gardener programs in Davidson and surrounding counties.
