Meggan is originally from Florida but moved to the Nashville region to work on her PhD in Public History at Middle Tennessee State University in 2019. Her research is focused on Historic House Museums, cemeteries, urbanism, and interpretation. She is grateful to be a board member for the Friends of Two Rivers Mansion, as well as a seasonal interpreter for the site.
She also has a BA and MA in Art History from Florida State University. Before pursuing her interest in history, Meggan worked in the healthcare field as a Physical Therapist Assistant for several years.
